HighStreet5 Community

Last August 30, the HighStreet 5 team went up the highlands to meet the gamers of Baguio City. The chill of Baguio's air was a stark contrast to the warmth the Baguio players extended to the HighStreet 5 team (shout out to Kitsune!). HighStreet 5 players from all over Baguio came to meet their fellow players and participate in the activities.

Non-HighStreet 5 players were given the opportunity to try out the game for free, while HighStreet 5 players were given a free merienda pack and HighStreet 5 merchandise. There were also 12 lucky raffle winners who won for themselves a 3-month subscription to Playground magazine.

The main highlight of the event was the HighStreet 5 tournament. After a gruelling 4-hour match between 8 teams, Team [ Taglish ], composed of Alvin (Aedc), Felix (FLex) & Erienne (AeRis3) ended the day with them emerging as victors

[ Taglish ] won for themselves a HighStreet 5 party pack with exclusive HighStreet 5 merchandise and an in-game goodie bag. They also won for themselves a surprise gift: One Intel gaming mouse each, and GM Aizle's HighStreet 5 jacket. Each participant won for themselves an in-game goodie bag.

Aside from the HighStreet 5 tournament, There was also a character look-alike contest which had Louis (†Luna†) and Ryan (RyanG) as participants. They won for themselves a 30-day Eminem Reggae suit each.

There was also a Guild Recruitment Drive during the whole duration of the activity. There were a lot of guilds who went, but it was ARG who received the title of "most guild members present" during the countdown.

It was a fun event, and it would not have been possible without the help of Outer Haven, still one of the best-known cyber tambayan in the City of Pines. We'd also like to acknowledge everyone who went and participated in the event. A big "thank you!" to all you guys in Baguio, you definitely rock!

HighStreet 5 is more than just dancing

More than just making people hop to the tune of the latest chart-topping hits, HighStreet 5 aims on bringing people from all walks of life together in one game. That’s why this September, EagleGame will be releasing two new features for HighStreet 5 players that will make their gaming experience truly interactive and more socially oriented.

What makes HighStreet 5 stand out from all the other rhythm games out there?

It’s all about the people you know and the people who know you inside the game. HighStreet 5, being more than just a dancing game, orients itself as an MMOG-based community platform for people to make new friends, interacting with each other both inside the game as well as in real life. This is made possible with the social-network system of the game, a feature that is unique only to HighStreet 5. Think of it as something like Friendster or Multiply with a twist.

The in-game social network system is currently being translated into English and should be available soon

With its social-network system, HighStreet 5 lets other people inside the game know more about the real person behind the online avatar. You can create your own profile with detailed information about yourself (likes, dislikes) upload photos and write in your own in-game blog.

This network system is not just for show. You can also leave comments on other people’s social-network pages and receive comments from other people as well. Another one of its neat features is you can look for other players with similar interests or within your age range so meeting the people who you think you can groove with won’t be a chore. This exchange makes HighStreet 5 truly an interactive game and makes it more dynamic.

The social-network system also provides a management tool so you can update your profile and get detailed statistics of visits to your profile as well as received comments. All these features at the tip of your fingertips for free.


Tying The Knot in Metro City

Another important update for HighStreet 5 is the introduction of the Wedding System. With this new update, you will be able to proclaim your love for your partner and ring the wedding bells with a HighStreet 5 twist. This update will enable lovers in-game (and also in real life) to take their relationship in HighStreet 5 one step further. This latest instalment is more than just a mere makeover- HighStreet 5 made new wedding gowns and suits, lover’s sprite animations, items, skills exclusive to couples and even an in-game church to make for a memorable in-game nuptial. And just like a real wedding, couples can also invite their friends in-game to witness their virtual wedding.

HighStreet 5’s wedding system is very much like a real wedding, complete with gowns, church services and even a wedding cake!

More treats for everyone

Whether you’re an expert dancer or a novice who has just put on his dancing shoes, there’s a new HighStreet 5 feature for everyone. Besides the Community Portal (social-networking system) and the Wedding System update, there are also new songs and dance halls that will make players enjoy the game more. New system events are also present that will enable players to work as a team, as well as new facial expressions that will better reflect a player’s personality inside the game.

As of this writing, these new features are already being tested and translated into English. They will be available to every Pinoy HighStreet 5 players very soon, so sit tight and dance to the hits for free as HighStreet 5 takes the party to new levels with you.

You think you got the right highstreet moves to be called the emperor of the dance floor? Prove it during our HighStreet 5 Dance-Off!

-Any group with 3 members can participate in the mini tournament (the tournament will be restricted to first 8 groups to register).

-There will be no level restrictions, but players will have to make a new account for the tournament.

-A Special Room (with password) will be made for the tournament.

-The last group standing will win these prizes: A HighStreet5 Party Pack containing HS5 merchandise & 5 in-game feathers for each group member.

Non-winning participants will get an in-game goodie bag containing mischievous flying bricks, mischievous lightning bolts, megaphone and super megaphone for each group member.


Show off your HighStreet 5 Threads! (Character Look-Alike Contest)

Dress up as your HighStreet 5 avatar and win fabulous prizes!

-Anyone can participate and go to the event dressed up as their HighStreet5 avatar. The three participants who most closely resemble their avatar will win a prize from EagleGame.

Prizes:
3 HighStreet5 Party Packs containing HS5 merchandise and in-game 30-day suits (one for each winner) for the winners.


HighStreet 5 Recruitment Drive (Guild Recruitment Contest)

-Any HighStreet 5 guild/clan and its members can participate

-A guild or clan with the most number of members by the end of the day will win a prize for their group. The guild or clan can actively recruit members during the event (from Free Players or new players or players who don’t have a guild yet)

-All members should be present during the tallying at the end of the event

-All members should have an active HS5 Account.

Prizes:
AN HS5 Party Pack containing HS5 merchandise for each member
The winning guild will be featured in the community website and forum


HighStreet 5 Raffle

Feeling lucky? Purchase a HighStreet 5 Point Card at Outer Haven during the event and get the chance to win a free 3-month subscription to Playground Magazine!

Any person who purchases any HighStreet 5 Point Card at the venue during the time of the event is eligible to win. Depending on the denomination of the Point Card, the person will receive the following raffle stubs:

P50 card = 1 raffle stub
P100 card = 2 raffle stubs
P250 card = 5 raffle stubs

The raffle will be conducted and a winner will be announced once every 30 minutes.

Prizes:
12 3-month Playground subscriptions (1 for each winner)


Free Play

Any non-HighStreet 5 player can participate in the Free Play and try out HighStreet 5. Each Free Player will get a HighStreet5 Poster.
